TIESS (Territoires innovants en économie sociale et solidaire), a member and partner of Transition en Commun, unveils a new report on ”Les initiatives citoyennes de transition à Montréal: enquête sur les défis et leviers”.
More and more social-ecological transition initiatives led by citizen volunteers are emerging in Montreal neighborhoods. Recognizing the essential role these initiatives must play in the fight against climate change, Partenariat Climat Montréal wanted to document them in order to identify the factors facilitating their emergence and sustainability, as well as the obstacles they encounter.
A survey of six existing or past initiatives identified the challenges that hold them back and the levers that support them. The report also pre-sents a series of recommendations aimed at external players – public administrations, territorial organizations, financial backers – as well as advice for citizens wishing to start a social-ecological transition project in their own community.
REPORT
Les initiatives citoyennes de transition à Montréal. Enquête sur les défis et leviers offers three parts: an overview of the literature, a detailed presentation of survey results and recommendations for future action.
Happy reading!
