On November 19, 2025, residents, community organizations, and government officials gathered in a friendly atmosphere at the Côte-des-Neiges Community Resource Center to explore the neighborhood through the lens of socio-ecological transition.

Videos to promote and showcase neighborhood tours
We’ve now conducted three tours where we’ve also produced a video—in addition to all the Praxis documentation work—to reach audiences less likely to read articles, to bring the transition to life on platforms like YouTube, but above all: to highlight the people behind our local partner organizations, provide them with easily shareable advocacy materials, and make them proud (and they have every reason to be!).

Through its commitment to documentation, Transition en commun seeks not only to maintain a searchable record—much like a library—of its events, lessons learned, and initiatives, but also to:

Centralize knowledge that is often scattered across different fields of action, sectors, and regions, in order to facilitate its reuse and integration.
To make knowledge—which can sometimes be complex, particularly that derived from research—accessible and understandable by producing summaries and tools designed for non-specialist audiences.
To highlight experiential knowledge and local practices—which are often overlooked—by documenting grassroots initiatives and telling their stories so that they can inspire other efforts.
Supporting the mobilization and visibility of local partners: summaries, fact sheets, recordings, videos, etc., are produced to be easily shareable, to highlight the work of on-the-ground actors, and to provide practical materials for outreach and mobilization.
