Transition en Commun Expresses Solidarity with the Palestinian People
After a month-and-a-half-long process that heavily involved alliance members—through consultations, opinion sessions, and written exchanges—Transition en Commun adopted a collective position of solidarity with the Palestinian people. This recent adoption marks a significant milestone in the alliance’s democratic life: it provides a clear and shared framework for an issue that directly touches on our principles of social justice, environmentalism, and solidarity.
The position adopted:
- recognizes the ongoing genocide in Gaza;
- explicitly links this solidarity to the foundations of the socio-ecological transition;
- respects the autonomy of member organizations with regard to their public statements;
- provides for internal implementation to be carried out by the relevant projects (discussion forums, workshops, training sessions, symbolic adjustments, work on funding).
This position is not intended to standardize member organizations. Rather, it is meant to serve as a common foundation that enables us to act in alliance—by facilitating structured dialogue, equipping members with the necessary tools, and ensuring consistency in the acts of solidarity already taking place within civil society.
