A Look Back at the Montreal Forum: Democracy at the Heart of the Transition & Our First AGM!
It was a landmark moment for the alliance on Tuesday, November 26. You honored us with an unprecedented turnout (nearly 200 people!) and made the most of the opportunities provided to discuss, debate, and build upon the nine proposals presented to strengthen and renew Montreal’s democracy in order to successfully navigate the socio-ecological transition.
At the AGM, you also reaffirmed the importance of the alliance and joined us in taking the leap into a new phase of this great collective project by formalizing an operational guide, a process for issuing public statements , and by renewing our steering committee as well as our executive committee.
Judging by the stories you’ve shared with us throughout the day, the initiative has been a success, and there is strong collective momentum moving forward—both for the alliance and for strengthening our democratic system.
