Call for applications – Artistic design mandate – Visual identity and variations
TeC federates an alliance between citizens, actors and civil society organizations, the City of Montreal and other institutions around a co-construction approach, whose overall objective is twofold: (1) to bring out, popularize, celebrate and mobilize around a shared vision of the socio-ecological transition; (2) to collectively give ourselves the means to implement it, in particular through new commitments by the institutions concerned, first in Montreal and for the benefit of the mobilization of neighbourhoods for the transition.
Our vision of socioecological transition relies on:
- Neighbourhoods and local life
- Citizen participation, democracy and the creation of commons
- Social economy and social innovation
- Equity, diversity and inclusion, reinforcing the links between social justice and environnemental action
- Culture and the creation of a mobilizing storytelling

Mandate
TeC wishes to entrust an artist with the mandate to design a strong visual identity that stands out, goes beyond the traditional framework, and embodies the unusual character of our alliance, the vision of socio-ecological transition at the level of living environments in Montreal, the plurality and diversity of its members and Montreal neighbourhoods or co-construction.
Our target audience is the following: citizens from different neighbourhoods of Montreal, public servants and decision-makers, civil society organizations, businesses, activist groups.
Specifically, the mandate includes:
- A briefing meeting with the TeC team at the beginning of the mandate (2 hours)
- Research and analysis of the ecosystem and current trends
- Creating at least three logo concept proposals
- A presentation of the logo proposals to the TeC team
- Reviews and iterations on the chosen concept until the final design is approved
- A graphic charter (user guide) of the logo in color and black and white
- Files in various formats (high resolution, website, social media)
- The creation of banners for the following social networks: Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin
- The creation of a banner for the newsletter
- A panel that can be inserted at the very end of a video
- The creation of pictograms
- Creating animated GIFs
- The creation of some visual content for various uses

3 to 5 five months to be completed from June to September 2023 |
Maximum budget | 10 000 $
TeC reserves the right not to spend the full budget envelopes planned for the projects. In the case of a reduction in the mandate, only the hours worked will be paid. |
