December 7 — Neighborhood tour + happy hour in Centre-Sud

Registration and details are available on the event page.

After touring Montréal-Nord last September, Ahuntsic in June, Hochelaga in April, and Pointe-aux-Trembles in February, our next neighborhood visit will take place in Centre-Sud, hosted by the Centre-Sud Community Development Corporation (CDC).

This tour will highlight a variety of places and key players involved in the neighborhood’s transition, its origins, and its extensive community and civic fabric, and will lead us to discover the many initiatives, challenges, and realities of the area.

Neighborhood life, local collaboration, the food system, social justice, community workshops, access to the river, citizen-led initiatives, cultural vitality… a promising lineup.

Among the groups that will be joining the tour:

  • Carrefour Solidaire Community Food Center
  • The Friends of the Sainte-Marie River
  • Jade Préfontaine and Voies culturelles des faubourgs
  • Urban Trail
  • Montreal Eco-Citizens Society (SÉM)
  • CDC Centre-Sud
  • Civic Enthusiasm
  • At Émilie’s (TSÉ Lab)

The tour will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will be followed by a happy hour at LESPACEMAKER.
