TEC Launches Its Brand-New Environmental Justice Program
A few months after the conclusion of the Mikana training sessions, TEC is launching a new Environmental Justice Program, which is free and open to everyone. Featuring participatory workshops, lectures, field trips, sharing of personal experiences, and editorial content, the program will unfold over four seasons, each dedicated to a theme linking the environment and social justice. Its goal? To create welcoming, collaborative learning opportunities to explore these complex issues in depth.
A journey to learn, take action, and bring TEC’s vision for transition to life
The Program is designed for anyone who wishes to deepen their understanding of environmental justice issues and collectively explore possible solutions. Through a variety of formats (collective learning sessions, participatory workshops, field visits, cultural discussions, and editorial content), the activities will provide concrete opportunities to engage with complex issues such as homelessness, migrant justice, Indigenous realities, and territorial inequities—all with the goal of developing, together, a sense of collective agency to better understand these issues and take action. Far from being a series of prescriptive training sessions, the program’s gatherings are dynamic spaces for learning, dialogue, and experimentation, rooted in real-world realities.
4 themed seasons in 2026
Winter 2026 – Homelessness and Transition in Montreal: Alternative Ways of Living;
Spring 2026 – Migrant Justice and International Solidarity;
Summer 2026 – Decolonization and Indigenous Realities;
Fall 2026 – To be determined
A flexible learning path, with learning materials to explore and share
Far from being a linear journey, the Environmental Justice Journey offers a path where everyone is invited to participate according to their interests, availability, and needs. For those who are unable to attend all the events, a Praxis booklet published each season will document the lessons learned, stories, testimonials, references, and courses of action from the journey, making its content accessible to everyone.
