May 23: 4th Espace Quartiers Major Event and Launch of Espace Solutions!

On May 23, the 4th Espace quartiers Summit will be held. Espace quartiers is a Transition en commun (TeC) forum that places the realities of Montreal’s neighborhoods at the center of its discussions and actions.

This event, which explores the intersections between food and socio-ecological transition, is co-organized with the Montreal Coalition of Neighborhood Tables (CMTQ) and the Montreal Food System Council (Conseil SAM). The goal will be to focus not on our individual habits, but on what we can do collectively, at the neighborhood level, to ensure sustainable and healthy food for everyone.

This event will also serve as an opportunity to launch Espace Solutions! Born out of a desire to identify the needs of our neighborhoods and address them collectively, Espace Quartiers is establishing this space—designed to be safe and inclusive—to share knowledge and expertise for the benefit of our communities.

If you’re interested in submitting a project you’re leading, a local issue, or a challenge in your neighborhood related to food and the TSE to the Espace Solutions competition, take this opportunity to get feedback from the evening’s participants and help your initiative or ideas evolve.
Feel free to contact Marlies at marlies@transtitionencommun.org before May 13 to submit your project or topic! We’ll select 5!
