As part of the neighborhood visits organized by the alliance members Transition Together, after Pointe aux Trembles in February, Hochelaga in April and Ahuntsic In June, we’ll meet up in late September in Montréal-Nord. Hoodstock and Voices of the Excluded welcome us to highlight the realities, challenges, and initiatives of the socio-ecological transition in Montréal Nord. This is an opportunity and an invitation to come discover the neighborhood—the Hood—through the voices of those who live there, experience it, and shape it every day.
Tax inequalities, the challenges of gentrification, the housing crisis, public spaces, public policy, intersectional perspectives, territorial inequities… these are just some of the challenges and realities of North Montreal that will shape the tour, the discussions, and the places we visit.
The tour takes the form of a walk through the neighborhood from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

We’ll wrap up the day with a happy hour at Hoodtsock starting at 5 p.m. Drinks and appetizers will be provided.
The tour and the happy hour are open to everyone and are intended to be opportunities for participants from Montréal-Nord—and, more broadly, from Montréal’s vast transition ecosystem—to meet, build connections, and share ideas.
