There were nearly 300 participants across the four days of this first edition of TeC Week. Thank you for actively engaging in the workshops, panels, discussions, and other collaborative spaces focused on themes such as collaborative neighborhood approaches, governance and participatory democracy, transition economies, narratives, culture, and new visions, justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion, as well as our relationships with living beings.
Each day was filled with lively discussions, ideas, and projects. Our knowledge capture tools will allow us to keep a record of each day. Summaries are currently being prepared and will be publicly available in a few weeks via . But if we take a broader view, looking at the week as a whole, several things stand out.
Many of us want to move forward, both by demonstrating a strong collective ambition and by building our capacity to take action to achieve it. There are clear points of overlap between the themes of the four days—overlaps that continue to shape the contours of a socio-ecological transition project that mobilizes and includes everyone. The stage is set for what comes next. The alliance, its working groups, and committees will continue the work. We’re already starting to look ahead to September 2024. And in the meantime, we’ll hold a members’ assembly this winter!
