A Look Back at the First Steering Committee Meeting of 2025!

On February 27, the alliance’s Steering Committee (SC) met for the first time since its membership was restructured last November. After the opening remarks and introductions, the committee then dove right into the heart of the matter to review 2024, identify promising avenues for 2025, and fully assess the current context with which the alliance will have to contend.

It was in a cheerful and lively atmosphere that the members of the steering committee gathered on February 27 for their first meeting of the year. As a reminder, following their election at the general assembly on November 26, the committee now consists of 32 people, divided into 7 groups (citizen groups, neighborhood stakeholders, regional and national stakeholders, researchers, statutory members, municipal institutions, and other stakeholders) to ensure the broadest possible representation of the variety of stakeholders.

After introducing themselves and getting to know one another, the coordination team shared information from the traditional general coordination report. The 32 members of the Executive Committee then addressed various strategic issues. A more comprehensive summary is forthcoming, but we can already say that among the priorities for 2025, the goal of making TeC an influential player in the upcoming elections stood out, as did the commitment to continue building strong ties in all of Montreal’s neighborhoods.
